As the Department of Veterans Affairs [announced](https://news.va.gov/press-room/va-deploys-electronic-health-record-system-to-hospitals-in-cleveland-anchorage/),
the Federal EHR went live in Cleveland on Saturday, October 24, along
with 16 standalone clinics across Ohio and Alaska. The rollout
means more than 163,000 Veterans and 7,800 staff in Cleveland
and Anchorage will now benefit from the new system.

The Cleveland go-live also [completed](https://news.va.gov/press-room/va-deploys-electronic-health-record-system-to-hospitals-in-cleveland-anchorage/)
VA's goal of deploying the system at 13 hospitals in 2026. As Deputy
Secretary Lawrence said:

"VA has fulfilled its goal of deploying this new system to 13
hospitals in 2026, a stark turnaround from the nearly two-year delay
seen under the prior administration. The success we saw this year lays
the groundwork for deployments in 26 hospitals in 2027, and meeting our
goal of ensuring EHR is in every VA facility by 2031."

The Cleveland launch also builds on earlier 2026 deployments in [Michigan](https://news.va.gov/press-room/va-health-record-system-back-on-track-with-michigan-deployments/),
southern
Ohio and Kentucky, and [Indiana](https://news.va.gov/press-room/va-deploys-electronic-health-record-system-to-three-hospitals-in-indiana/).
