# Pinpoint Leads Coalition of Free Market Groups in Letter to Federal Reserve

On Friday, Pinpoint Policy Institute submitted [a comment letter](/comment-letter-on-insurance-capital-standard-report-1-6-2025/) to the Federal Reserve in response to a study examining the impact of new capital standards on U.S. insurers. Pinpoint was joined by [Americans for Tax Reform](https://atr.org/) and the [American Consumers Institute for Citizen Research](https://www.theamericanconsumer.org/) in the letter, which critiques the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) for overstepping its authority by reviewing potential capital standards that would apply to U.S.-based insurers.
