Pinpoint Policy Institute has joined a coalition of more than 30 free-market organizations in a letter to Senate Majority Leader John Thune and House Speaker Mike Johnson urging Congress to pass a Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution disapproving the Environmental Protection Agency’s final Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) volume mandates for 2026 and 2027.
The letter, led by the American Energy Alliance and co-signed by Americans for Tax Reform, the National Taxpayers Union, the Competitive Enterprise Institute, the American Enterprise Institute, and dozens of other conservative and free-market organizations, argues that the EPA’s RFS mandates — the largest and most expensive in the program’s history — represent a regressive tax on American workers, families, and businesses.
